Drafting of the cross-border programme started on February 19th, 2007 and the final draft was submitted to the European Commission on May 31st, 2007. The document was officially approved on December 18th, 2007.
The first Call for Proposals under this programme was published on June 25th, 2009. The kick-off event to mark the launching of the CfP took place in Vrnjacka Banja on July 8th, 2009, followed by 4 information sessions - 2 in Serbia and 2 in Montenegro.
