Background: The International conference on IPA, Western Balkans and Civic Society was organized on May 26th in Podgorica by the European Movement in Montenegro (EMIM), supported by East East Program of the Open Society Institute and Balkan Trust for Democracy. This Conference was organised as a part of the project “Ljubljana Agenda for the New Phase of the Stabilization and Association Process”, which represents continuation
of the activities initiated by the successful implementation of the project “Regional Framework for Development and European Integration” in 2007 by a network of think-tanks from South East Europe (SEE).

Background: The awareness seminar organized in Visegrad on May 20th 2008 was the ninth and the last event that took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of the information campaign on IPA CBC and programmes with neighbouring Western Balkan countries. However, this seminar was of a unique character: it was a cross-border event, gathering around 180 participants from three countries –
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, thus giving them the opportunity to not only obtain information about programmes, but to meet potential partners from the other side of the border as well and present their organizations/institutions and exchange project ideas.

Background: On April 2nd, 2008, in Municipal Hall in Niksic the fourth awareness seminar on IPA cross-border programmes with neighbouring Western Balkan countries that Montenegro participates in (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania and Croatia) was organized. This seminar was organized by the CBIB project in close cooperation with and support form the Secretariat of European Integration of the Government of Montenegro and
Niksic municipality.

Background: The idea of cooperation in the economic region of the Sava river watershed was crowned on April 26th, 2007 in Sabac where the 12 Regional Chambers of Commerce have signed the protocol of cooperation. The working groups within the project were established and the awareness seminar for the members of the working groups were organized by the CBIB project and the Regional Chamber of Commerce Valjevo, which has the role
of the Chairman of the project until April 2008, on March 27th in the Municipal hall in Sabac.
