Expected results

 

Building on achievements to date, CBIB will make all necessary efforts to further develop the capacities of national, regional and local authorities and other relevant actors in charge of management and implementation of IPA CBC programmes and projects.

With this regard, the project will have to work in close consultation and cooperation with the management structures of each IPA CBC programme (OS, JMC and JTS), as well as with potential applicants/grant beneficiaries in the field.

The CBIB team will support the IPA CBC partner countries with a view to achieving the following results:

Structures

• Institutional capacities built to soundly manage and implement IPA CBC programmes at the level of both national and joint structures;
• Management and control mechanisms in place in compliance with the principles of sound financial management and in line with EC standards;
• Calls for Proposals prepared and launched successfully on Western Balkan internal borders.

  Potential Applicants

• Awareness increased on the possibilities of cross-border cooperation throughout the Western Balkans;
• Enhanced capacities of Potential Applicants to identify and prepare good quality joint projects;
• Good quality development projects prepared and approved for implementation in sufficient numbers.
